The 12 gubernatorial aspirants under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), in Oyo state, have the dragged the party, the independent national electoral commission, INEC, former governor Rashidi Ladoja and others before the Federal High Court, Abuja.

In a court suit signed by the 12 gubernatorial aspirants, they are praying the court to intervene in the illegal selection of Senator Olufemi Lanlehin as gubernatorial candidate.

The trouble started when the leaders of the party could not agree on terms in choosing the governorship candidate of the party in the next general election.
The aspirants faulted the style adopted by the leaders and have met to agree on picking a consensus candidate amongs them, contrary to this the leader of the party in Oyo State Sen Rashidi Ladoja went ahead to pick one his anointed one in person of Sen Olufemi Lanlehin and announced as the party’s candidate.

In an interview with Fresh FM Ibadan one of the aspirants Dr Nureni Adeniran descended hard on the leader of the party Sen Rashidi Kadoja accusing him of acting same script that led them out of the PDP.
He said Sen Ladoja made them believe there was impunity in the PDP and they all accepted but unknown to them he has a prepared script.

However, the development within the party has vindicated the candidate of the People’s Demcratic Party in the next general election Engr. Seyi Makinde on the perceived notion that he frustrated Sen Ladoja out of the party as political observers sees Sen Rashidi Ladoja acting a script he is preaching against.
